Junior Business Intelligence Specialist

Acumen is a Belgian Business Intelligence specialist. InTimișoarawe have our centre of excellence for Business Intelligence Development and Continued Care. We develop and support solutions for reporting and planning challenges using BI tools.

What is it about?

As part of our team you will support and develop BI solutions for a range of clients across Europe. This will give you the opportunity to learn and grow by using a range of tools such as Microsoft SSIS, Cognos Analytics, Microsoft SQL Server and others. Over time, you will participate in different assignments and clients.

This full-time position is a perfect fit for people starting their career with a good feeling for technology and know how to communicate. We are a company where every individual can and should make a difference.

Your main responsibilities:

• Specialize and gain in depth knowledge of BI tools and methodologies;
• Work on existing and new clients to keep their BI environment healthy;
• Implement change requests and projects;
• In everything you do, communicate properly and professionally.

It would be perfect if:

• you like solving data driven problems using technology;
• a professional mind-set and a lot of common sense define who you are;
• you can think from another person’s point of view;
• you can communicate properly in English both in writing and orally;
• taking responsibility for your work is the only way;
• you are not afraid to ask and investigate;
• you fit in an environment where seniority and respect is gained by professionalism, motivation and quality of work, not hierarchy, age or ego.

Any knowledge and/or interest in the following is a plus:

• A BI tool like Cognos, Hyperion, or Business Objects;
• A database technology like MS SQL Server, Oracle or DB2;
• A scripting language like Windows PowerShell;
• A general understanding of different business concepts in finance, sales and logistics;
• An ETL technology like SSIS, DataStage or PowerCenter.
