Job Purpose and Main Objectives
· Support and Execution of the Commodity strategy;
· Improvement of Cost, Quality and Delivery;
· Sourcing and nomination of new components to strategic suppliers;
· Monitoring the market and deriving actions and adjustments for the strategy and supply base out of that;
· Acting as escalation level for quality and delivery issues.

Job duties
· Supporting the development of the regional Commodity Strategy, including cost reduction initiatives, introduction of new products, global benchmarking and initiatives for improvement of the quality;
· Analysis of products in regards to quality, cost and delivery performance;
· Sourcing and nomination of new business to strategic suppliers based on the BCS purchasing guidelines;
· Driving of In-Sourcing and Re-Sourcing activities;
· Escalation level for critical supply situations, production bottlenecks, and quality issues;
· Analysis of the global procurement market and world economy as well as benchmarking the competitiveness of the current supply base;
· Price- and contract- negotiations with suppliers as well as annual price negotiations;
· Responsibility for identification and execution of cost reduction initiatives through the organization;
· Analysis and calculation of components, for target setting;
· Securing competitiveness of suppliers by leading efficiency- and improvement-workshops.
· Educational Background & Job-Related Experience
· Bachelor´s degree in Economics or Engineering or as industrial clerk with extensive (>6 years) purchasing experience;
· Minimum 3 years of experience in Automotive Purchasing, preferred in Commodity Management;
· Technical understanding of production processes and manufacturing;
· Economic and target oriented way of thinking, including high analytical skills as well as a structured way of working;
· Assertive, with excellent negotiation skills, convincing communication skills and team oriented;
· Willingness to perform and to travel, high flexibility and resilience;
· Sovereign knowledge of MS office especially Excel;
· Basic SAP knowledge;
· Fluent in English language and preferable in German language.
