IDEAL CANDIDATE:

- strong testing skills with preferably 3 years of overall testing/development experience
- hands-on experience with backend testing with good RDBMS/SQL knowledge (PostgreSQL is a plus)
- excellent UNIX background
- good scripting knowledge Perl/Python/bash
- good test planning skills
- good level of written and spoken English
- experience in testing web frameworks
- basic knowledge of the HTTP protocol
- team spirit, good communication skills, open minded

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

- write test plans and test cases based on specs and product knowledge
- perform back end/front end testing (automated/manual)
- troubleshoot and isolate issues, file bugs and work with developers
- execute automated tests and pro-actively improve automation coverage
- participate in deployment to production and subsequent production smoke tests
- test scalable systems than can handle lots of traffic
- test scalable databases that can hold lots of records
