SIMEA Sibiu carries out production activities of electronic equipment and systems, of low to medium complexity and with an increased manual processing part. The company is involved in the generation of innovative solutions in the field of design and manufacturing of electronic products, support services within its strong competencies: product development (PLM), logistics and production.

For our industrial electronics manufacturing team, we are looking for a Software Developer for Testing Engineering - a new challenging and future-oriented role. The area of responsibility includes development, design and standardization of OT automation & test systems.

What part will you play?

• Give guidance for the standardization and development of our OT automation & test systems aligned with global automation partners
• Develop and design platform based test hard-/software aligned with R&D and global test engineering partners
• Support the operational teams in solving complex issues
• Support the integration and implementation of interfaces of industrial system components
• Write test specification and documentation
• Maintain test equipment considering today's technology challenges (HW/SW updates including Cybersecurity)

Your skills 

• Bachelor degree in the field of Computer Science/ Electronics;
• Minimum 4 years experience in a similar position;
• Competences in Industrial Automation (knowledge of how test adapters, measuring and control devices work as an electro/mechanical assembly, controlled by PLC/Computer);
• Understanding of electrical schematics/design of new simple schematics with electronic elements/components - on an advanced level (knowledge in the Eagle design environment is an advantage);
• Electrical measurement techniques – intermediate level;
• Programming knowledge in ObjectOrientedProgramming
• DIO devices, SW control of measuring devices
• Knowledge of Embedded systems using measuring device control libraries,
• Basic knowledge database systems and OT network design
• High communication and coordination skills
• Independent, precise, and team-oriented work style
• Fluent in English
