National Project Logistics Pricing Specialist

Kuehne+Nagel is a global leader in logistics — and Project Logistics team plays a critical role in shaping the success of some of the world’s most complex and ambitious industrial, energy, and infrastructure projects.

We are looking for a dedicated Pricing Specialist to join our Project Logistics team in Bucharest and ensure precise, customer‑focused pricing across diverse industry verticals.

Your Role

As a Pricing Specialist in Project Logistics, you will support the commercial success of our Energy Logistics, Renewable Energy, and Industrial Project customers. You will develop accurate, competitive pricing by evaluating transport scenarios with various complexities, engaging with suppliers, and collaborating closely with internal stakeholders.

This role does not require frequent travel, but occasional field visits and customer/supplier meetings are essential to fully understand technical requirements and local project conditions.

⭐ Your Responsibilities

• Strong relationship‑building skills, ensuring consistent, professional communication with customers during the pricing cycle and solution‑design process.
• Manage supplier relations and procurement activities for transport and project services.
• Prepare accurate quotations and selling rates in line with profitability guidelines.
• Serve as the central point of contact for pricing requests across all transport modes (Sea, Air, Road, Charter, Rail, Barge, etc.).
• Collaborate with Customer Excellence and Operations teams to ensure seamless pricing-to-execution transitions.
• Work with Business Unit pricing teams to align strategies and optimize costs.
• Drive sourcing initiatives to secure competitive rates for core services.
• Analyze monthly pricing performance (wins, losses, margins) and identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure pricing requests are logged timely and accurately in internal systems.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of pricing processes and tools.

🔧 Your Skills and Experience

• Experience in freight forwarding or project logistics, preferably within sea and/or road transport.
• Knowledge of port operations, oversize / OOG / heavy-lift cargo handling, and multimodal transport solutions, is preferred.
• Understanding of Incoterms®, international transport regulations, and basic customs principles.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and diverse stakeholders.
• Customer-oriented mindset with a commercial and solution-driven approach with the ability to build trustful, long-term relationships.
• Proactive, analytical, solution-oriented and independent working style — able to challenge assumptions and propose alternatives.
• High attention to detail, especially regarding data quality and cost breakdown accuracy.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management abilities.
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence using digital pricing tools, CRM.
• Fluent English (spoken, written, and comprehension) for effective communication in a global environment. Chinese, Bulgarian, Serbian, or Hungarian language skills are a plus.
