Contributions of our new colleague:

• Responsible for the procurement process for core technology for Group Ahold Delhaize member companies (e.g., RFx) and ensures the technology benchmarking process and interacts with technology suppliers in complex contract negotiation processes;
• Manages the technology procurement portfolio and negotiates contracts in multiple categories of digital and business technologies, including managing the entire technology procurement flow;
• Responsible for achieving the annual cost reduction target;
• Manages and aligns quality, cost, service, and technological innovation needs for Ahold Delhaize member companies;
• Acts as a SPOC (single point of contact) in technology procurement and contracting processes in relation to suppliers;
• Ensures the procurement process throughout all stages until completion, managing contract and term negotiations to achieve the organization's financial and strategic objectives;
• Ensures that all necessary due diligence is met and performed correctly in relation to technology suppliers to ensure product availability, risk assessment, and performance monitoring;
• Ensures the identification and increase of benefits obtained through technological procurement processes that are not only related to cost reduction, but most often represent the facilitation of growth and development of revenues from innovation, goods, and services that support the expansion of the organization and cash optimization (payment terms, inventory) or have an impact on the organization's image and risk prevention and alignment with optimal compliance standards;
• Proactively identifies and executes savings and innovation opportunities for stakeholders in the business/IT technology field;
• Collects technology requests from AD member companies and ensure clarity and understanding of needs;
• Ensures the process of analyzing the needs and requests of parties involved in the negotiation process to ensure alignment with best market practices by providing clarity on technology providers and new industry directions;
• Conducts market research on suppliers and develops category strategies;
• Evaluates technology suppliers, market developments, and trends, and proposes effective solutions for the region assigned to the technology categories for which they are responsible;
• Follows the goals and standards set by the organization in the ESG (environment, sustainability, and governance) area and make sure they're followed in tech procurement and other activities;
• Manages communication and relationships with Ahold Delhaize's main tech suppliers, making sure the best methods and channels are used both internally and externally.
• Negotiates contracts with key suppliers, including commercial/pricing and contractual terms and conditions in the field of technology;
• Maintains contact and collaborate with internal stakeholders, building complex relationships, especially with senior leaders in the field of technology;
• Maintains strong relationships and provide knowledge transfer to the teams with which they collaborate;
• Supports management in developing a strong, professional, and forward-looking organization in the field of IT technology procurement;
• Provides advice to stakeholders and a long-term vision on technology contracts and their management to ensure an appropriate procurement strategy;
• Keeps abreast of and takes into account business strategy and developments in technology and suppliers in order to identify potential future partners.
• Ensures the implementation of best practices at regional level in line with global standards for the business area for which he/she is responsible;
• Supports and contributes to the development of the technology procurement and negotiation area for Ahold Delhaize;
• Manages the reporting process efficiently in terms of management projects and approval processes;
• Actively supports management and the team in promoting best practices, development, and feedback both internally and in relation to customers and partners.

• Bachelor degree, preferable in IT or Technical field;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint);
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in buying and IT
