Join our dynamic team at Morningstar Sustainalytics as a Compliance Manager, where you will play a crucial role in supporting our strategic and regulatory needs. Based in our Frankfurt office, you will be part of a global compliance team, collaborating with colleagues in London, Madrid, Toronto, and Timisoara.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and prepare for regulatory examinations.
• Draft compliance reports for European regulatory authorities.
• Report on compliance issues and risks to the Chief Compliance Officer.
• Maintain strong relationships with ESMA, compliance colleagues, and business management.
• Support the development and implementation of new business processes in line with European regulations.
• Provide guidance on compliance matters and identify areas of risk.
• Enhance procedures for reporting and investigating compliance incidents.
• Maintain records of compliance violations and actions taken.
• Contribute to the development of the compliance team by sharing best practices.
• Assist in the development and delivery of compliance training materials.
• Continuously improve global compliance programs.
• Implement and maintain global compliance policies and procedures.

Who You Are:

• Significant experience in compliance or regulatory control processes, ideally in financial services, accounting, or legal professions.
• Experience with EU regulatory bodies and managing compliance teams.
• Advanced communication skills and strong analytical abilities.
• Understanding of ESG risk rating business is a plus.
• A degree in law or a related discipline is advantageous.
