About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to manage our financial operations. This dual-focus role requires a deep understanding of Romanian Accounting Standards (RAS) and the ability to translate and report these figures into International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS/GAAPS) for Group-level consolidation. You will be the technical expert ensuring local compliance while acting as a vital link to our global finance team.

What you’ll be doing

Romanian Statutory & Tax Compliance/Group Closing & Reporting

• Manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded in compliance with RAS.
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers – Management accounting.
• Deal with all queries and liaise with all relevant internal departments to ensure queries are responded to promptly.
• Collaborate with the outsourcing accounting company to ensure reporting of VAT, P&L, BS as per Romanian accounting standards.    
• Manage the general accounting under local and IFRS & GAAPS.
• Execute the month-end and year-end closing process according to Group deadlines and local legal requirements.
• Ensure the preparation of financial reporting for the Group in collaboration with the persons in charge of controlling.
• Ensure systems are accurately updated and correctly used and optimized for accounting purposes.

What you’ll need

Experience

• At least 5 years of minimum accounting experience, working within a fast-moving, changing environment;
• BA in finance / accounting;
• Experience working with multi-currency ledgers;
• Previous exposure to Oracle EBS is an advantage;
• Advanced Excel skills essential;
• Knowledge of RO VAT;
• Experience in working in an international environment;
• Advanced English;
