Blue Projects is a leading consulting firm specializing in delivering customized Engineering and Project Management solutions for clients in the industrial sector.

To support the successful execution of a new industrial project in Ploiești, which includes implementing a Beads process (packing/making), expanding warehouse facilities, and integrating utilities, we are looking for an experienced HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) Specialist. This role is critical to ensuring workforce safety, regulatory compliance, and effective environmental management throughout the construction phase. This role is for a minimum of 1 year, with the possibility of extension.

Freelancers will be given priority for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with local and national health, safety, and environmental regulations, performing regular site inspections and enforcing corrective measures.
• Develop, implement, and monitor HSE plans and policies to safeguard all personnel involved in the project.
• Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards, protecting workers, equipment, and the environment.
• Deliver ongoing safety training for staff, subcontractors, and visitors, ensuring adherence to HSE protocols and emergency procedures.
• Monitor environmental performance, ensuring compliance with guidelines and minimizing ecological impact.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, prepare detailed reports, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to maintain HSE best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HSE Specialist in construction or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and industry best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to promote a safety-first culture.
• Solid risk assessment capabilities and ability to implement effective safety measures.
• NEBOSH or equivalent HSE certification is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred.
