Job Description

The Sea Freight Forwarder will play a key role in managing and coordinating the shipment of goods by sea, ensuring efficient and timely transport for our clients. This role requires strong organizational skills, an in-depth understanding of logistics, and a customer-oriented approach to meet our clients' diverse needs.

Your Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage international sea shipments from start to finish, import and export, LCL and FCL, ensuring compliance with all regulations and requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, suppliers, and clients to optimize service delivery.
• Prepare and manage transport documents, including bills of lading, and other required paperwork.
• Receive and fulfil transportation orders.
• Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any logistical issues that arise.
• Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers to ensure competitive pricing and quality service.
• Collaborate closely with the road transport and logistics teams to provide seamless, multimodal solutions to clients.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and market rates to advise clients effectively and provide high-value solutions.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in freight forwarding or a related logistics role, with a focus onsea shipments.
• Proven knowledge of international transport regulations and customs procedures.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in rate and contract negotiation.
• Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of other languages is an advantage).
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
