Production System / Lean Specialist
Role Purpose
Lead and drive the Lean transformation across the Company by deploying and sustaining the Global Production System (Kromberg Schubert Production System).
The role builds Lean ownership at all management levels, embeds Lean behaviors across the organization, and delivers measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Lean Transformation & Leadership
Leadand implement Company’s wide Lean transformation and act as role model for Lean behaviors
Influence and coach Top and Middle Management to take full ownership of Lean
Inspire and empower employees to identify waste, inefficiencies, and risks across the value stream
Production System Deployment
Support the introduction, governance, and continuous improvement of the global Production System
Establish and standardize Lean principles, Tools and procedures Methods
Support plants and departments in implementation and sustainability of Lean Methods
Strategic Improvement & Projects
Analyze Company needs and initiate strategic Lean projects
Support Production System project Managers in scope definition, execution, and control loops
Drive cross-functional improvement initiatives
Capability Building & Training
Activate Lean specialists as multipliers across the Company
Define and review Lean competency profiles and identify capability gaps
Design and deliver targeted Lean trainings
Promote train-the-trainer approach
Organize and moderate KAIZEN Events for processes optimization and reduce wastage in plants
Performance & Governance
Monitor and report Company’s Key Performance Indicators
Measure Lean maturity and drive development toward efficient and sustainable processes
Implement indicator-based monitoring systems and track improvement impact
Monitor financial aspects (for example savings) of Lean initiatives and report progress to Company’s Top Management
Key Qualifications/Experience & Background
Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing and Production Systems (Toyota Production Systems)
Hands-on experience with Lean Tools & Methods : A3 Problem Solving, VSM, VSD, SFM, SMED, Kanban, Kaizen,/CIP, PDCA, Six Sigma, 5S, TQM, Makigami, BPMN, KATA, Jidoka, DMAIC, Hoshin Kanri
Proven capability in training, coaching, and change management
Availability to travel
Analytical, proactive, and goal-oriented mindset
Strong communication and intercultural competence
Fluent in English
Advanced MS Excel skills
Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or similar)
Experience in automotive manufacturing minimum 5 years
Proven track record in Lean or Production System Deployment
