We are a dynamic, growing startup with a healthy client base across three countries, and we are hiring a Developer to continue and evolve our Clear Data project. We are looking for a Mid / Senior Developer — 5+ years professional experience.

This is a full-time role. As part of the role, you will also gain access to some of the brightest minds and mentors in our global network - a strong perk for rapid professional growth and you will get exposure to Tier 1 clients in financial services.

Responsibilities
• Maintain and extend the Clear Data codebase: design, implement, and ship new features and bug fixes.
• Build and maintain FastAPI endpoints and background processing components.
• Develop and maintain Typescript-based components (APIs, internal tools, or supporting services).
• Implement and maintain data ingestion, validation, transformation, and ETL flows.
• Actively use AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Codex, Cursor, LLM-based code assistants) to augment productivity, refactoring, and problem solving.
• Write clear, maintainable, testable code and comprehensive automated tests.
• Work closely with company founders to translate product and client requirements into reliable technical implementations.
• Participate in code reviews and design/architecture discussions; mentor junior engineers (mid/senior level).
• Improve observability and production reliability: logging, metrics, alerting, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines, Docker images, and deployment configurations for production environments.
• Create and keep up-to-date technical documentation and runbooks.

Required skills — Mid / Senior (5+ years)
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with substantial backend/API experience.
• Expert-level Python skills and proven experience building and operating production services.
• Solid experience with Typescript in production environments.
• Strong experience with FastAPI and async programming.
• Experience designing, building, and operating robust data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Deep knowledge of SQL and one or more production DBMS (Postgres, MySQL, etc.); familiarity with NoSQL systems is a strong plus.
• Solid experience with Docker and CI/CD tooling.
• Strong skills in code design, architecture, performance, and security best practices.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring others, leading feature deliveries, and driving technical initiatives.
• Comfortable taking ownership of components and the system’s operational health.
• Proven experience as an AI adopter in the development process: using Codex, Cursor, or similar tools to speed up implementation, refactoring, testing, and exploration, with good judgment over generated code.

Nice-to-have
• Experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ) or background task systems (Celery).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Hetzner, Azure) and managed services for data processing.
• Experience with observability stacks (Grafana) and SurrealDB.
• Prior work in fintech, payments, or regulated environments.
• Familiarity with SQLAlchemy, Pydantic / Langextract, and schema or contract testing.
