Join Colonnade Insurance S.A., a leader in non-life insurance and part of the global Fairfax Financial Holdings group. We are seeking a dynamic Risk Engineer to enhance our team in Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments and risk inspections for clients to identify exposures to fire, natural hazards, and other risks, providing actionable recommendations.
• Evaluate risk quality and determine Maximum Possible Loss (MPL), Maximum Foreseeable Loss (MFL), and Normal Loss Expectancy (NLE) to support underwriting decisions.
• Prepare detailed risk inspection reports for underwriters and reinsurers, adhering to Colonnade’s standards.
• Develop internal guidelines and procedures for assessing property and construction insurance risks.
• Conduct training sessions to enhance the skills of fellow risk engineers and underwriters.

Requirements:

• In-depth knowledge of local and international fire protection standards, such as NFPA.
• Relevant experience in the insurance sector.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proactive and collaborative mindset, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficiency in English.
