TRANSITION MANAGER – SHARED SERVICE CENTRE, SIBIU, ROMANIA

 

Our client is an European leader market in cleaning solutions that has centralized its internal accounting services within a  Shared Service Centre, based in Sibiu.

 

Main Accountabilities

  • Being responsible for all the transition process and methodology decisions;
  • Organizing initial transition kick-off meetings and overseeing all transition activities;
  • Traveling to the sites of the group companies and evaluating their operations at present time and drafting the new process while minimizing costs and associated risk factors;
  • Being responsible for master project plan including project schedule, communications plan, change control plan, risk management plan, responsibility matrix, and cost control/ tracking mechanism;
  • Overseeing, maintaining and reporting the project performance status and producing regular status reports on all transition projects managed;
  • Conducting quality assurance during transition;
  • Coordinating interfaces with the group companies;
  • Educating and training the internal team and the external partner in using new systems, understanding shortcomings and being available for questions;
  • Setting correct expectations on the performance and use of new or changed services;
  • Continuous communication regarding the status to all key stakeholders, resolving transition issues, documenting the risks and developing contingency plans;
  • Ensuring transition within time and budget constraints and meeting the required level of quality;
  • Solving the incoming issues in a timely manner and implementing the appropriate corrective actions;
  • Facilitating and moderating project meetings including but not limited to project kick-offs, team progress and issue resolution, leadership update, project close out and best practices and core team meetings;

Professional Skills

 

  • University Degree, preferably in Finance or Accountancy;
  • 3 – 5 years of prior experience as Transition Manager or  Project Manager, in a consulting role and supervising a team in an outsourced/ operations environment;
  • Very good understanding of business processes;
  • Knowledge of accounting, IT, admin processes, as well as financial reporting;
  • Proven successful track record in driving process transition and organizational change;
  • Strong and effective communication skills, able to connect with people at all levels;
  • Ability to coordinate simultaneous projects with multiple-level tasks and functions independently;
  • Technology and system orientation;
  • Multilingual skills, fluent in English and German, other foreign languages are beneficial;
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively;
