This is an opportunity to learn different layer 4-7 protocols and technologies and further improve your networking skills while working with the top customers in the industry.


  • Provide expert level telephone and email support to Ixia customers; onsite travel may also be required from time to time
  • Assist customers with operation and configuration of Ixia hardware and software, with an emphasis on L4-7 protocols
  • Accurately log, track and maintain customer service requests
  • Achieve customer satisfaction and support metric goals and SLAs
  • Effectively work and communicate with worldwide Support and Engineering team


  • BS or MS in Computer/Electrical Engineering with focus on Internet/Networking
  • 2+ years experience in debugging  L2-7 protocols
  • Hands-on experience on configuring Cisco/Juniper devices
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to coordinate with teams in other locations
  • CCNA or higher


  • CCNP
  • Scripting (TCL or any other language)
  • Unix\Linux experience
  • Previous experience on VoIP and internet video protocols
  • Experience in troubleshooting or configuring load balancing or security devices
  • Wireless or LTE knowledge
  • Working experience with IPSec
  • DHCP, PPP, SNMP hands-on experience
