This division is particularly active in the markets of surveillance, investigation and security audits for the systems most exposed to threats within the Airbus Group, but also for partners and customers in the transport, defence and aerospace sectors.

We are looking for an SOC (Security Operation Center) Architect to become part of the Airbus Defence and Space Romania team.

As part of the Cyber Security Architecture team your mission shouldrovidethe  necessaryfoundatioto  design, document, deploy, maintain and monitor security solutions and infrastructures, including security controls, that are required to efficiently prevent, detect and respond to security incidents and cyber-attacks  as  well  as  implementing  security  policy  requirementIarticular,  it  shall  rely  on standardized  and reusable architectural  and design patterns (technical security architecture)  that fully support the business and functional requirements  whilst promoting an efficient segmentation of  the  infrastructureomponents  to  facilitate  the  identificatioontainment,  eradication  and recovery from a compromise.

This position will require security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.


Tasks & accountabilities:

As part of the team, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Perform market evaluation to identify appropriate solutions to business requirements
  • Evaluate security solutions through Proof of concepts
  • Design solutions including service aspects (cf. ITIL Service design activities)
  • Contribute to the definition of the security architectural blueprint
  • Contribute to the definition of Security events collection architecture
  • Balances technological opportunities with business processes requirements
  • Streamlineusinerocessefunctiorocedureandworkflowandapplya consistent implementation approach
  • Align Cyber Security strategy and planning with the organisation’s business goals

  • Maintaia holistic  view  of the organisation’trategyrocesseinformation  and  ICT assets

  • Links  the  businemissiotrategy  and  processes  to  the  ICT  and  Cyber  Defence strategies
  • Manage stakeholder engagement  in the development of new processes and systems and verifies feasibility
  • Recommend resolutions and improvements
  • Ensures, that technical solutions, procedures and models for development  are up-to-date and comply with standards
  • Lead and/ or conduct system integration
  • Watches technology development and integrates into new solutions
  • Transition solutions to teams in charge of daily operations
  • Conduct  post-implementation  reviews  to evaluate  benefits  accrued  from  new processes and systems



The successful applicant should have the following skills and experience:

Education and Practice:

  • Educated to a 5-year degree level (or equivalent) in Cyber Security or a related discipline.
  • More than 5 years of Security Architect experience


  • The candidate should hold at least one valid certification among the following ones: CISSP, CISA, CISM, SABSA, TOGAF Foundation, CNDA or an equivalent one recognized internationally.
  • A valid certification among one of the following ones is a plus: CISSP-ISSAP, CGEIT, CRISC, SCPA, SCMA, TOGAF, GSNA, GCCC, GPPA or an equivalent one recognized internationally.


  • The candidate should have Proven Knowledge (3 years of experience) of at least one methodologies among: SABSA or equivalent.
  • The candidate should have Proven Knowledge (3 years of experience) of at least one Risk Assessment methodologies among: EBIOS, CRAMM, PILAR or equivalent.


  • The candidate should have an experience over 3 years of ISO2700X Series.
  •  A 2 year experience of STIX and TAXII is a plus.

Specific Skills

  • The candidate should have an experience of more than 5 years in:
    • Networking (TCP/IP, SNMP, DNS, Syslog-ng, etc.)
    • Defence-in-depth Security Architecture
    • Enterprise Security Architectures


  • The candidate should have practice in Project Management tools such as MS Project.


  • The candidate is fluent in English (spoken/written)
  • French is a plus,
  • Another European language is a plus


  • The position requires travels in Europe
