General Description:

This job is a first-level management within a factory.

Provides direct management to semi-skilled and entry-level professional employees performing diverse and/or specialized roles, or employees in more than one function or work group. This includes establishing annual plans/objectives and interpretation of policies related to the functional area.

Work is performed within established professional standards and practices.

Receives assignments in the form of tasks and goals and follows established processes to meet the goals of the unit. Executes budgets, develops schedules, and enforces policies and procedures.

Reviews employees’ performance and recommends employee compensation; coaches for improved performance and disciplines as necessary.

Interacts directly with subordinates and peer groups. Builds strong internal and external relationships that require exchanging of information and providing explanations in a problem solving capacity.

Requirements:
Provides the direction/coordination/education/tools needed to achieve and maintain registration and compliance with ISO, ISand OHSAS:18001.

Ensures proper ESD controls are in place.

Monitors all reports of non-compliance resulting from customer, registrar and regulatory audits to ensure corrective action plans are in place.

Plans, develops, and implements new manufacturing quality systems.

Provides leadership and facilitation to cross-functional business processes that support the overall quality system.
Leads development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of system(s) and processes that ensure the correct documentation/information/instructioerating Procedures, Quality system procedures, administration of Quality management systems, . forms, logs, & records) are available for use and that changes are implemented in a timely manner

Ensures that systems and processes meet industry standards (., ISO) and customer requirements  Standardizes internal documentation/information format and hierarchy
Ensures that proper revision of internal documentation/information is accessible and utilized
Ensures authorization of change commensurate with magnitude/impact of change
Ensures timely, accurate implementation of changes (initiated both externally and internally)
Archives documents/information to maintain history/traceability

 

 

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

In-depth knowledge of quality metrics, ISO and IPC standards, and processes in EMS environment.
Strong knowledge of documentation and quality systems.
Knowledge of software and its uses in generating reports, capturing data, and presenting data in an understandable format.
Knowledge and understanding of the business unit and how decisions impact customer satisfaction, product quality, on-time delivery and the profitability of the unit.
Strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes.
Strong project management skills.
Ability to coordinate a wide variety of resources to meet production quality and quantity metrics.
Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
Ability to effectively lead, manage, train and motivate a diverse group of employees to achieve high production levels within tight time deadlines and in a ~highly dynamic manufacturing environment.

Five to seven years relevant experience
