Job Description

The Project Manager is responsible for the planning and realization of Continental Automotive buildings and manages the architectural, civil, mechanical and electrical design of the buildings and the construction of new plants, buildings and infrastructure expansions for Automotive Plants in Continental, ensuring the project meets the timing, budget and functionality required be the internal customers until the handover and starts of regular operation. 
Performs the following "Technical" tasks : 

  • Create the requirement specification 
  • Leads design and tender specification 
  • Evaluates technically external partners 
  • Manages the execution and handover of the construction 
  • ensuring compliance with all legal, corporate and user requirements 
  • achiving the projects scope, quality, time and cost targets 
  • handing over to the facility management for operation 

Performes the following "Project Management" tasks : Project Charter, Project Targets, Meetings, Information exchange/ Project Documentation, Execution plans, Risk management activities. 

A mentor will support you to stepwise take over own responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes and organization.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in architecture civil engineering or related field (engineering) 
  • At least 6 years experience as architect or construction project manager 
  • Should have worked for industrial construction projects (architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical) 
  • Experience in international projects 
  • Capable to interact with mulity cultural and international teams 
  • Ability to complete task with minimal supervision 
  • Fluent in Romanian and English language 
  • Communication skills 
  • Presentation skills 
  • Organizational and time management skills. 
  • Change Management and Problem Resolution Management skills 
  • Risk Management skills
