Responsibilities:

  • Leads the extended ME Team for all relevant topics to achieve program success for all manufacturing activities for prototyping and mass production
  • Overtake responsibility at Kick-off (if possible with very first product design concepts within Acquisition) to gate 5
  •  Delivery and fulfillment of all ME deliverables within the Program Management
  •  Conduct production trials (IPT, MPT, EMPT)
  •  Preparation of technical/process related presentations to the customer (SE process)
  •  Manage engineering changes – supported by local PMOs
  •  Application of process standards
  •  Demand sign-off from responsible departments for SOR and shop floor process layout
  • Involve and track experts from ME – CoCs (Process & Tooling) – especially in terms of new technologies
  •  Ensure Simultaneous Engineering & Design for Manufacturing (PPD) – especially close link to PE & SCM
  • Check and release of all production drawings after Simultaneous agreement in the program team
  • Prepare production layouts
  • Release tooling and equipment for series production
  • Prepare sign-off procedure for capex approval
  • Sign-off for pre-acceptance of tooling and equipment
  • Collaborate with CIP team and manage line ideas (suggestions for improvement)
  • Prepare PPAP parts for quality department
  • Create, change and adjust work instructions in CAMOS as well as BOMs and routings in SAP
  • Leadership role and delegation of tasks to extended team members ME
  • Budget Planning
  • Responsible to keep the spent for tooling and equipment within the program budget
  • Responsible to ensure appropriate process methods for prototype and series production

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an automotive manufacturing environment represents an advantage
  • Graduation of technical university is a must (preferably diploma Engineer)
  • Good knowledge of English is a must; French and/or German an advantage
  • Previous contact with budget planning, capacity planning, technical specifications for equipment, Autocad/layout, PFMEA, Process Flows, Engineering Changes, cycle times studies, traceability represents an advantage
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point) is a must
  • Ability to work in a team and to collaborate efficiently with colleagues, production people and management is a must
  • Availability/willingness to be located in Germany (Neunkirchen) for the first 6 months (up to 1 year) for extensive training; during this time, there will be roughly a 50%-50% split between the time spend in Germany and respectively in the plant in Oradea
