The Telesales Representative position is responsible for making cold calls to potential customers to generate sales and meet cross-organizational sales goals.

Key Accountability

  • Contact potential or existing customers to inform them about a product or service using scripts
  • Answer questions about products or the company
  • Ask questions to understand customer requirements and close sales
  • Direct prospects to the field sales team when needed
  • Enter and update customer information in the database
  • Take and process orders in an accurate manner
  • Handle complaints to preserve the company’s reputation
  • Go the “extra mile” to meet objectives and facilitate future sales
  • Keep records of calls and sales and note useful information
  • Maintain good customer relationships



Know-how and competencies

  • Proven experience in a similar position is mandatory (minimum of 6 months of telesales/outbound calling experience)
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting sales targets, preferably over the phone
  • High school diploma as minimum
  • Experience and knowledge of pharma industry is mandatory


  • Good knowledge of relevant computer programs (. CRM software, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and telephone systems
  • Ability to learn about products and services and describe/explain them to prospects
  • Excel in planning and customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Cool-tempered and able to handle rejection
