As OPS, at AMOMA you will have the opportunity to test your know-how while adding projects to your experience/portofolio. Part of the team in charge with auto-provisioning, cloud solutions, security, automation, configuration management, monitoring, backups, infrastructure and full-stack application performance, networking, releases/deployments (just to name a few) , you will deliver projects, work on repeating/periodical tasks and take an active role as an OPS engineer.

 

You will be joining a team of highly experienced devops/sysadmins that work as seniors on high-profile projects and offer support to other teams.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and mitigate production incidents ; implement fixes for staging/preprod and devel environments
  • Support OPS  and other teams (DEV/QA)
  • Participate in Level1 support team schedule (backup/replacement, when needed)
  • Propose/document and (if validated) execute projects to extend/improve security, high-availability, performance and stability across infrastructure
  • Follow procedures and workflows ; keep documentation up to date – add your own
  • Participate in the peer review process (working in tandem/team is highly-recommended) ; participate in status meetings and keep all stakeholders informed (Jira – ticketing system)
  • Execute periodical and on-demand/tasks while upholding PCI DSS security standards/procedures
  • Assure proper communication on official channels (including email)
  • Participate in the release process ; support and enhance the release pipeline and continuous integration mechanisms/processes

Mandatory Skills / Experience:

  • Installing, configuring and maintaining Linux systems (preferably Debian)
  • Experience with ticketing system(s) (Jira is a plus)
  • Undestand the basic elements of Unix/Linux OS
  • Interested/knowledgeable of security topics
  • Basic networking concepts (CCNA is a plus)
  • Hardware (Intel x86 architecture – is a plus)
  • Basic Scripting (shell/python/php/perl – at least one)
  • Basic SQL language and RDBMS knowledge
  • Ability to respond professionally in crysis situations while maintaining transparency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good english verbal/written proficiency

 

Preferred Skills / Experiences:

  • Student in related (CS , par example) academia
  • At least one similar/related position/job (helpdesk/IT support qualifies)
