Required Skills and Experience
Coordinating and monitoring logistics operations by considering interests and instructions of Equipper. Conducting stock analysis, monitoring movements of equipment under his/her control and reporting to the Equipper accurately.
Container Monitoring and Reporting
Identifies containers which port determines as damaged after discharged and for which an “interchange report” has been drawn up with the vessel, and notifies the equipper accordingly.
Makes a damage assessment for containers that have been identified as damaged in port during or subsequent to unloading, draws up a repair report and notifies his/her manager to ensure that collection is made from the responsible party.
Specifies the damage identified on containers that return empty after imported goods have been unloaded and the costs of repairs and cleaning for containers which are too dirty to be re-used.
Prepares and sends to the Equipper every day a stock report that indicates the status of equipment in the area he/she is responsible for and the projected amount of loading that will take place in the next three weeks (per ship). (Daily stock and forecast report) He/she is required to fill out a stock balance report and provide information daily regarding how many empty containers he/she requires over the next 3 weeks with which vessels or how many containers which exceed requirements will be loaded empty on which vessels.
The equipper’s demurrage list must be checked within 4 days after it is sent and there must be agreement regarding the amount of demurrage.
