This is an exciting opportunity in Craiova for a Thermal and Fluid Science Engineer - Technical Specialist.

Apply specialized knowledge of engineering principles and practices across various areas and projects in one or more of the following areas: combustion/performance/emissions, cool/lube/fuel systems, air handling, system integration, after treatment integration, after treatment integration, cycle simulation, vehicle system simulation, combustion system simulation, flow simulation, filtration, or after treatment simulation.
Apply technical expertise on complex components or projects and works under minimal supervision.
Provide technical direction for a project or a project team.
Participate as a key contributor and is accountable for project success.
Influence at department or program management level.
Provide input on program-related decisions.
Demonstrate depth of knowledge of engineering discipline(s) and leverage expertise on other projects.
Troubleshoot complex problems and recommends appropriate actions.
Assist with the transfer of knowledge; coaches and mentors less experienced engineers.
Skills and Experience Required:
Intermediate level of relevant work experience required, such as responsibility for several components of a project or a complex component of a project.
Knowledge of electrical machine design and operation.
Experience using CFD (including Fluent or CFX) and CAD (Pro-E / CREO) and thermal resistance networks would be advantageous.
Experience of experimental testing procedures and equipment.
Technical project development and validation.
Customer / suppler-facing experience would also be advantageous.
Previous industrial experience including placements.
Awareness of industrial standards.
Very good English skills
Fluent user of Computer-Aided Design including solid-body modelling.
Ability to apply this knowledge to the design and development of thermal management systems for rotating electrical machines.
Detailed knowledge of numerical simulation techniques, in particular Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and thermal analysis using thermal resistance networks (. MotorCAD).
A strongly motivated mechanical engineer who would like to leverage his expertise in thermal analysis and design within a large global company
Education, Licenses, Certifications
PhD, Masters of Science, Bachelor of Science, or equivalent technical degree required.
Evidence of completion of thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics (or similar) course modules is required.
