Analyze product demand trends to determine the best possible forecast model that matches the demand of a particular product/component.
Generate and analyze ERP reports to target areas requiring more focus, such as past due orders, or components with insufficient inventory. Identify and report procurement related errors.
Responsible for the accuracy of the Materials Requisition Program (MRP) system as it relates to inventories, production planning and order fulfillment.
Coordinate with engineering for new product introductions and end of life product phase outs.
Promptly respond to all customer questions/issues related to procurement.
Collect, review, and input data into SAP system. Validate and revise data as necessary to ensure data integrity.
Identifies and implements opportunities to reduce transaction costs, freight expenses, and inventory levels.
Based on the production schedule and inventory on hand calculate the material requirement to ensure continuous on time raw material availability on production areas.
Keep contact with suppliers on short lead time materials, and scheduled daily shipments. Prepare schedules for daily inbound shipments.
Keep up information flow with the warehouse about the expected shipments and quantities.
Production orders control; handle material discrepancies on orders in cooperation with the Inventory controller. Advise on BOM changes if necessary.
Material planning knowledge
Involvement in the annual and ad hoc inventory counts
Involvement in minor production scheduling activities
University degree in logistics, finance, commercial specialization
Good English communication skills oral and written
Excel, Word, SAP knowledge
Relevant experience in logistics, in a similar role
Production scheduling or production related experience is desired/advantage
