Acumen is a Belgian Business Intelligence specialist. In Timișoara we have our centre of excellence for Business Intelligence development and support. We develop and maintain solutions for reporting and planning problems using BI tools.

What’s it about?
As part of our team you will support and develop state of the art BI solutions for a range of clients across , you will dive into the world of 'Continued Care' solutions we provide our clients. This will give you the opportunity to learn and grow by using a wide range of tools as Cognos Analytics, Microsoft SQL Server, Windows PowerShell and more. Through time, you will participate in different assignments and clients.
This full-time position is a perfect fit for people starting their career with a good feeling for both technology and communication and more experienced persons ready to take the next step. We are a young company where every individual can and should make a difference.
Your main responsibilities:
Work closely with Business to provide guidance and support in resolving incidents;
Take responsibility of a client and everything that revolves around it;
Specialize and gain in depth knowledge of BI tools and methodologies.
It would be perfect if …
you hold a master, preferably in Economics,Business Administration, Statistics, Computer Science or related fields, as long as you can bridge between business and IT;
you crave solving data driven business problems with technical solutions;
a professional mind-set and a lot of common sense define who you are;
you can think from another person’s point of view;
your eloquent and phantasmal English will flabbergast us;
you can dissect a problem and think it through;
taking responsibility for your work is the only way;
you are not afraid to ask and investigate;

you can communicate and translate technical concepts to non-technical
Any knowledge and/or interest of one or more of the following is a plus:
A BI tool like Cognos, Hyperion, or Business Objects;
A database technology like MS SQL Server, Oracle or DB2;
A scripting language like Windows PowerShell, VBScript;
A general understanding of different business concepts in finance, sales and logistics;
An ETL technology like SSIS, DataStage or PowerCenter;
