We are a new travel agency with the aim of substantially increasing the incoming tourism for Romania as a destination. Our aim is for people all around the world to associate Romania with nature, culture, food and wine... and bring travellers beyond the clichés promoted by tourism brochures or by negative media. But most importantly we want to demonstrate that the average Romanian is an extraordinary person: creative, generous and sociable.

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Junior Marketing Assistant to work with us and our new business. This is a creative and rewarding position within a small but agile organisation. We are looking for a Junior Marketing Assistant to execute our marketing strategy. We need project specifics such as digital marketing/PR strategy development, brand/voice development, asset creation, market and customer research.
This project requires the following:
- Any experience working in marketing or ad agency, or experience working in a similar industry
- Other requirements such as industry knowledge, size of marketing programs developed or managed

To support the work of the Marketing Manager.
This will underpin our work to promote Romania as a world-class destination to tourists. Our customers are both the visitors we welcome to our destination and our businesses in the tourism supply chain – accommodation operators, tourist attractions, restaurants, shops, event organisers, producers and other businesses operating in the visitor economy. You will help us run an efficient and effective business.
Assist in maintenance of the Beyond Romania social media accounts
Upload and update content for tourism products and events represented within Romania Destination, which feeds the website
Providing support as required in planning media trips, dealing with journalists/local business enquiries and requests
Managing the image library and responding to image requests as appropriate
Ensuring all information held on the CRM system is up to date
Perform research as required
Develop reports as requested
Act as a communication relay, making sure all parties receive necessary information
Attend events and meetings as required
Other duties may include staffing events stands, assisting with tourism projects and contributing to the work of promoting Beyond Romania to the world. (WTM London, ITB)
General administration duties: Answering our telephone and direct calls as appropriate; Receiving and responding to emails; Managing the team diary and scheduling meetings; Raising invoices and chasing payments; Mileage, expenses reports and reconcile receipts
Knowledge and understanding of the Tourism Economy and the variety of business it includes
Knowledge of the local tourism landscape and locations
An interest in the Tourism Sector and knowledge of and enthusiasm for the responsible(sustainable) tourism
Knowledge of Digital Marketing
Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage
Experience of organisational administration, databases and diary management
Experience of managing organisational communications including emails and telephone calls
Some experience of digital marketing, and using social media
Experience of presenting information and content for public consumption
Experience of prioritising tasks
Experience of working with customers in a business to business environment
Excellent administrative and communication Skills
A meticulous eye for detail
Effective people skills – must be able to effectively work with others, both internal and external, to achieve common goals and objectives
An interest and awareness of digital marketing, specifically social media
An interest in the tourism sector and knowledge of and enthusiasm for the local area
A highly organised multi-tasker and a good team player
