Summary of role:
Complete all necessary hardware layout design activities in compliance with Control Techniques processes and procedures. This includes the hardware layout part of the system, including dimensions for back plate machining, copper working architecture, cabinet split design control, network, and field installation connection interfaces. Working closely with the customer Project manager and Hardware design team, as well as Control Techniques Project Engineering and Production team to provide proactive hardware layout design solutions.
Responsible for hardware layout design solutions in close cooperation with the Customer and Local Hardware and Project Management team;
Control hardware layout and electrical wiring diagram documentation;
Facilitate hardware and wiring design solutions into documentation revisions through EPLAN;
Take lead in any customer FAT requirements relating to project design documentation;
Provide documentation that enables effective and efficient design for manufacture, removing delays in build due to production team questions, concerns, and problems related to design;
Initiate where appropriate and control engineering and design changes through a robust and consistent protocol agreed with all stakeholders;
Provide technical documentation to all interested parties;
Applying engineering standards to ensure that uniformity and quality continuously improve within each project;
Report the daily progress and proactively carry out all necessary activities to adhere to the project schedule.
Minimum 1 year experience in Hardware Engineering in a project related environment;
Experience in working in project teams (especially geographically distributed teams);
Good knowledge of Engineering and Design programs such as EPLAN;
Bachelor’s degree in the field of electrical engineering or automation, or equivalent level in related field;
Good knowledge in technically related areas;
Fluent in English;
Medium knowledge of Italian and German is a plus;
MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
