Thales Romania delivers advanced signaling, supervision and control systems for railways in close cooperation with Thales Germany, information systems for England’s motorways and major roads in close cooperation with Thales UK and Human Computer Interfaces (HCI) for air and land simulators in cooperation with Thales France.
We are seeking smart software developers passionate by web technologies and ergonomic interfaces to perform the development of a new HCI for simulators in cooperation with Thales France.
Thales wishes to create a new ergonomic HCI using top web technologies to control and supervise two distinct types of simulators, air simulators - IOS (Instructor Operating Station) Reality H & land simulators - IOS Land.
IOS (Instructor Operating Station) Reality H simulators train students how to pilot an helicopter (weather settings, malfunctions, flight axes, airports / helipads, repositioning, visual conditions, crash detection), or prepare specific missions for a pilot (landing on an offshore platform for example).
IOS Land trains soldiers how to manage other group of soldiers, or trains them to learn military strategy. Instructors have to deal with a lot of concepts, such as: preparing scenarios for virtual soldiers like a mission editor in public war games; adding, removing elements or soldiers on the battlefield; adding battlefield effects (minefields, smokes, ) weather management; management of cameras on the battlefield.
After a period of knowledge transfer in France, the new Bucharest team will work accordingly to AGILE development lifecycle, through designing, developing and testing activities.
