We are looking for our client, a multinational company, for a top professional to fill in the role of Financial Controller. 

Main tasks

  • Draws up specific reports and provides all the information requested by the Financial Director
  • Prepares the annual budget for the allocated business unit
  • Contributes to cost control and optimization, fixed cost analysis and production costs
  • Monitor and analyze the operational financial performance of the production department and support departments
  • Proposes, tracks Key Performance Indicators and prepares monthly Business Review
  • Manages in SAP profit centers and cost centers for the assigned business unit
  • Apply financial reporting procedures according to Group Guideline
  • Participate in the monthly financial closure of Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow, monitors the correctness of cost accounting according to the group reporting standard
  • Perform analyzes of closing situations on client versus budget / forecast (sales, cost categories, headcount) and highlights impacts in Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet
  • Participate in the Monthly P & L process in estimating the Profit & Loss for the current and the quarter - analyzes against budget / forecast and identifying impacts on the plant
  • Participate in planning the financial statements (budget, forecast, strategic plan) and reporting to the group
  • Participate in annual budget planning in SAP on cost centers, production hourly rates and run of standard calculations for finished and semi-finished products
  • Analyze the variations between current cost and cost center budget
  • Analyze standard costs for products versus current costs vs. quotation; Identifies deviations and proposes corrective actions along with the responsible departments
  • Participate in organizing internal, external audits and financial controls
  • Responsible for investment controlling in BI system – INFOR (budget vs actual. Explanations variances with the project Team)
  • Report to project manager for the  investment project period

Professional skills

  • University degree (Finance, Accounting)
  • English Language – medium
  • 5 + years of experience in Finance/ Controlling within a multinational company with Production profile
  • Business knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of tax and accounting
  • Experience in other GAAP’s, besides the romanian one
  • Work experience in SAP/Oracle
