Job Description

Our Infotainment & Connectivity Business Unit develops and produces infotainment systems for all vehicle categories. We provide ways to conveniently hook up mobile devices and establish networks to the outside world and offer solutions that promote safe and economical motoring. We support drivers in this way so that they can devote their full attention to driving. 

Our product portfolio includes: 
- Device connectivity 
- Radios 
- Connected radio & entry navigation 
- Multimedia systems 
- Embedded telematics 

The EE Project Leader represents EE discipline inside the R&D Technical Project Team and is responsible for successfully carrying out all development tasks for the assigned project(s) together with the EE project team. Main activities include: 
• Project's scheduling and effort estimation 
• The planning, commissioning, and monitoring of work 
• The day-to-day communication within and involvement of their own organizational unit 
• The validation of the emerging project during the design phase within his/her organizational unit 
• The regular alignment to the Technical Project Lead and the involved line manager of the organizational unit 
• Handling the change management specific to the area of expertise 
• Handling the risk management specific to the area of expertise 
• Handling the requirements analysis specific to the area of expertise 
• The coordination of work packages and detailed schedule plans for his/her organizational unit 
• The responsibility for the detailed planning with respect to valid electronic life cycle (eLC) 
• Achieving project and business objectives 

The EE PL contributes to close, dependable, and dynamic cooperation in the Design Team together with Mechanical, Software (and System) Project leads. He/she makes sure synergies are exploited by using the specialist knowledge available. He/she makes sure that the relevant standards and work rules of the specialist department are adhered to. He/she is the technical contact person for the STPL. He/she contributes technically to the successful execution of design and project reviews. 

• Coordination of product development in the organizational unit 
• Contact person for the TPL and other internal positions for specific technical questions 
• Coordination and management of the Development Team 
• Reporting to the TPL about the status of the development 
• Collaboration in the regular budget review (time sheet) together with the STPL 
• Supporting the TPL in the preparation of the project reviews and approvals 
• Supporting the TPL in the compilation of the TPSR (Technical Project Status Review) for the head of Development 
• Collaboration in the processing of the requirements specifications for the product specification 
• Regularly participating in the Design Teams meetings (technical development team) 

Job Requirements

• Strong technical background (development experience is an advantage) 
• Knowledge of application and domain of the designed system 
• Knowledge of the development processes issued in automotive or equivalent industries 
• Knowledge of the development environment (SW and HW tools) 
• Knowledge and experience in project management methods and tools 
• Ability to motivate, moderate and lead 
• Ability to organize and communicate 
• Fluent in English
