For our client TE Connectivity we are looking for an EHS/Facility leader to lead the EHS function at a new manufacturing start-up facility in Timisoara.

Position Overview:

  • You will be responsible for strategic EHS program development, maintaining compliance with applicable EHS regulations as well as ensuring conformance with TE Connectivity’s EHS management system requirements
  • The leader of EHS is expected to implement EHS risk reduction and compliance programs to support the site EHS goals of “0” harm to employees and being an industry leader of environmental stewardship and sustainability
  • You will run the EHS audit and lead the EHS committee for the site
  • You will act as the point of contact for any EHS legal regulations and TE internal EHS policies
  • From a facility, the EHS facility leader will ensure the maintainability of the building and the equipment associated (HVAC system ...) and will manage any outsourced service linked to the building (safety, cleaning ...)
  • You will define and control the EHS and facility budget to support the enhancement and compliance investment if any necessary

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated computer skills
  • Extensive knowledge in applicable safety & environmental regulations as well as knowledge and experience in developing EHS management systems required
  • Strong interpersonal skills to act as internal counsel and provide guidance for EHS improvement
  • Ability to lead project teams
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability communicate with and implement various EHS processes at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to recognize strategic opportunities and focus EHS resources to align with and meet critical business needs through efficient action plan
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge of the following aspects is essential: ergonomics, machine guarding, lockout / tagout, behavior-based safety, ISenvironmental permit management and waste characterization, and a clear understanding and interpretation of EHS laws and regulations
  • Experienced in the development and delivery of EHS training
  • Exceptional skills in building interpersonal relationships, including high degree of tact, diplomacy and ability to influence
  • Bachelor of Science degree in health, safety, environmental, industrial hygiene or related discipline
  • 5+ years of EHS experience with progressively increasing responsibility
  • Any local legal EHS certifications if any required
