We seek out talented automotive/ Industrial Heavy Machinery engineers with bright and creative minds, ready to join our team in UK. The areas/positions we need to cover are:

  1. Project Engineer – Test Bed Controls / Integration Engineer:

Main Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the integration of engine control systems onto new engine products
  • Support trouble shooting and issue resolution as required
  • Adapt and develop system development processes

Essential Knowledge & Experience

  • Degree in Electronics/Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Software or Automotive Engineering.
  • Understanding of control system elements and engine control related aspects of engine subsystems (fuel, air system, after treatment)
  • Use of key tools (CANape, CANalyzer etc)
  • Familiarity with J1939 operation, diagnostics systems
  1. Project Engineer – Plant model development

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and\or optimise existing simulation models for engine processes and components
  • Debug and validate model performance in the required environment (desktop simulation or realtime on HiL system)
  • Liase with customer engineers and experts to discern critical characteristics of simulation
  •  

Essential Knowledge & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of simulation tools
  • Demonstrable understanding of relevant control system physical components
  • Solid understanding of the principles of diesel engine control or specific complex sub-systems or other electro-mechanical vehicle systems
  • Professional experience working to a defined process developing safety related systems
  • Exposure to one or more of the following domains: diesel engine control systems, off-highway machine controls, marine control systems, military vehicle control systems, other safety related automotive controls systems
  • Demonstrable professional experience with some or all of the following
    • Mathworks tools (Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow, RealTime Workshop)
    • Configuration tools (GIT, clearcase)
    • dSpace HiL test equipment
    • Calibration Tool . CANape
    • C programming language
  • Experience working with a range of communication systems (CAN, Ethernet, Lin, Flexray)
  1. Project Engineer – Control system model development

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identify and document control systems requirements
  • Iteratively develop sub-system control strategies using Mathworks toolset providing stages delivery.
  • Co-ordinate with other development teams worldwide.
  • Troubleshoot electronics and control system issues as required.
  • Conduct control system calibration activities on test benches where appropriate.
  • Contribute to system/software FMEAs

Essential Knowledge & Experience

  • Substantive experience and knowledge in the area of model based embedded system development, preferably with exposure to one of the following domains: diesel engine control systems, off-highway machine controls, marine control systems, military vehicle control systems, other safety related automotive controls systems
  • Deep knowledge and hands-on experience of using the Mathworks toolchain to create embedded software components
  • Demonstrable understanding of relevant control system physical components
  • Solid understanding of the principles of diesel engine control or specific complex sub-systems or other electro-mechanical vehicle systems.
  • Demonstrable professional experience with some or all of the following
    • Mathworks tools (Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow, RealTime Workshop)
    • Configuration tools (GIT, clearcase)
    • dSpace HiL test equipment
    • Calibration Tool . CANape
    • C programming language
  • Experience working with a range of communication systems (CAN, Ethernet, Lin, Flexray).
  1. Project Engineer – Systems Engineer/project lead

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform the development, delivery and validation of engine control systems including tasks of:
    • system design,
    • component selection,
    • Electronic control module Input and output (I/O) definition and pinouts,
    • Coordination of system test plans
    • Involvement in systems FMEA’s
  • Work with process partner teams to gather, develop and document control system requirements
  • Coordinate individual workflow of developments based on the relative priorities of customer’s needs.
  • Participate in system FMEAs and related validation activity
  • Monitor legacy system issues and lead the timely resolution of them.
  • Adapt and develop system development processes
  • For lead positions, be able to communicate clearly, plan and organize work activities

Essential Knowledge & Experience

  • Degree in Electronics/Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Software or Automotive Engineering
  • Able to anticipate, translate and develop customer requirements into tangible feature developments
  • Understanding of control system elements (sensors, actuators, controllers)
  • Understanding of engine control related aspects of engine subsystems ( eg fuel, air system, after treatment)
  • Able to actively participate in system FMEAs and related validation activities.
  • Experience of electronic control system development and the related New Product Introduction processes
