Analyzes and validates material costs and targets;
Works with multiple cross-functional organizations, both regionally and globally;
Issues expert pieces of advice in defining the cost methodology and process for assessing the component and materials;
Responsible for assessing the cost of component designs from inception to production, working with Engineering Team for design to cost activities, partnering with Buyers;
Leads changes and solves conflicts, being able to assimilate large amounts of cost data, reporting to the top management.
The ideal candidate:
Ability to manage multiple complex projects and assignments with a high degree of autonomy and accountability for results;
Effective communication and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with local and global team members to solve problems and issues;
High level of understanding the assigned processes;
Demonstrated ability in use of Microsoft Office software;
Language English and/or French;
0 – 5 years engineering experience and exposure/knowledge with any of the following: Plastic Injection or Blow Molding, Stamping, Automotive Subsystem and Component Assembly, Casting, Machining, Electronic Modules, Automotive Wiring, Tube bending, Glass Manufacturing, Chassis Components, Welding, Forging;
Engineering Degree or related technical experience.
