Backend developer

About our open position:

• The team will develop a platform for asset management, facilitating community interaction, services, and maintenance for all buildings in a residential area;
• You will participate throughout the complete software development lifecycle and to focus on software quality through peer reviews, refactoring, continuous integration, and deployment;

A typical day might include the following:

• Delivering high-quality code;
• Bringing quality input into the projects by ensuring your code is tested, documented, and taking into consideration performance, security and accessibility aspects when needed;
• Participating in the technical and architectural decisions on the projects you work on;
• Being involved in the infrastructure setup and deployment activities;
• Providing help and support for other team members when needed;
• Getting involved in projects research and initiatives, aimed at expanding the know-how of the team;
• Mentoring and coaching other team members;

To ensure success in this role, you need the following experience and skills:

• Previous professional experience with Ruby and/or Java;
• Strong knowledge of OOP;
• Professional experience with serverless patterns using AWS Lambda and API Gateway;
• Database knowledge (NoSQL);
• Experience writing automated tests for the implemented features (unit tests/integrations tests/acceptance tests);
• Nice to have experience with: EC2, CloudFront, ALB/WAF, Route53, Kinesis, SQS, CloudFormation, Beanstalk, VPC, IAM;
• Passionate about writing clean code and well-designed applications;
• Very good attention to details – both technical and specifications-wise;
• Open to new ideas and feedback;
• Good command of English.
