The Challenge Ahead
This exciting role offers you the opportunity to work on Enterprise applications and services. You will have the chance to become a domain expert for key applications used in game development, including Perforce, GitLab, Jenkins and JIRA. You can work with game teams such as FIFA, Madden, Battlefield and Battlefront, and central teams such as Frostbite and Origin. You have a focus on innovation and use a deep passion for technology.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
Work on problems of moderate scope and complexity
Receive detailed instructions on projects as assigned and guided by a more senior engineer
Impact a project/team on small projects; may contribute as part of a team on larger projects
Influence internal project team
Investigate and explore options; inform decisions
Make local daily decisions that affect their work

REQUIREMENTS ANALYSIS AND PLANNING
Report progress and status through regular email or face-to-face communication with appropriate leads/managers
SOLUTION DESIGN AND APPLICATION ARCHITECTURE
Understand the application architecture and solution design
APPLICATION BUILD AND SUSTAIN
Develop solutions as part of the game development application services portfolio that are modular, testable and reliable
Participate in actions related to the installation and maintenance of production systems
Discuss and raise issues with project/scrum team
Participate in service outages and restoration during an incident’s life cycle
Understand business, product, technology requirements
Design, writes and executes test cases
File and regress bugs (JIRA)

PRESENT AND COMMUNICATE
Edits different materials (. wiki, presentations)
Present materials to colleagues and peers
Provide constructive ideas and feedback to peers
Communicate with customers, including communicating complex technical problems to all kinds of audiences
Provide effort estimations for assigned work

Identify and voices scheduling issues or conflicts
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions
Participate in small cross-discipline collaborative efforts inside of their own domain
Brainstorm solutions to problems within a group

Manage applications used in Game Development
Several open source technologies and Cloud services is an asset
Understanding of networking concepts is an asset; . routing, subnets, DNS.
Experience with Virtual Machines, servers and other related hardware is an asset
