What You'll Do

You will be the primary Shopify developer responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing our storefront. This role sits at the intersection of front-end development and systems integration — you'll work hands-on with code and closely with our backend team to ensure data flows reliably across all connected systems.

Shopify Development

• Build, customize, and maintain Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

• Develop and manage custom Shopify apps and integrations using the Shopify API and GraphQL

• Implement and test new storefront features, landing pages, and product templates

• Optimize site performance, page load speed, and mobile responsiveness

• Maintain and improve the checkout experience and conversion flows

API Integrations & Data Flow

• Collaborate with backend developers to design and implement API integrations between Shopify and external systems (ERP, CRM, fulfillment, etc.)

• Troubleshoot data flow issues — identify root causes across webhooks, REST/GraphQL endpoints, and third-party middleware

• Build and maintain Shopify webhooks and event-driven workflows

• Document integration logic and data schemas for cross-team clarity

• Support monitoring and alerting for integration health and data sync reliability

Collaboration & Process

• Work closely with marketing, operations, and product stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions

• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and team retrospectives

• Maintain clean, well-documented code in version-controlled environments (Git)

• Communicate clearly about timelines, blockers, and technical trade-offs

Required

• 3+ years of professional Shopify development experience

• Strong proficiency in Liquid templating, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML

• Hands-on experience with Shopify APIs (REST Admin API, Storefront API, GraphQL)

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with backend developers on API integrations

• Experience debugging data flow issues between Shopify and external systems (ERPs, CRMs, fulfillment platforms)

• Familiarity with webhooks, event-driven architecture, and async data patterns

• Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken)

• Experience with Git and standard version control workflows

• Experience with Shopify Plus and advanced checkout customization

• Experience with platforms such as Klaviyo, Recharge, Gorgias, or similar Shopify integrations

• Based in Romania

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Node.js or Python for building custom Shopify apps

• Knowledge of e-commerce analytics and conversion optimization

• Experience working in direct sales or multi-level marketing e-commerce environments
