Background
We’ve launched a new B2B video channel for the solar industry, led by a multinational team of experienced media professionals. Through engaging, edutainment-style interviews with key industry players, we deliver valuable insights to B2B buyers in a clear and compelling way.
This program is designed to provide practical insights into journalism, communication, and the renewable energy sector, helping students bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application.
About the role
It is a 6-month internship that requires work remotely. Interns are expected to commit 6 hours per day, up to 38 hours per week. ENF Solar works Monday through Friday and has weekends off. Flexibility in working hours may be arranged to accommodate academic schedules.
Key Responsibilities
This role is ideal for candidates with a foundational technical knowledge of solar energy or related engineering fields who want to apply it in an editorial, journalism, or media environment. You will work closely with journalists, producers, and technical teams to help turn complex solar technologies into accurate and engaging content. Under the guidance of senior journalists, you will:
Technical Editorial Support
- Research solar technologies, manufacturing processes, and market trends
- Review technical materials such as product specifications, data tables, and industry reports
- Support fact-checking and technical validation of editorial and video content
- Assist in preparing technically informed interview questions for industry experts
Editorial & Content Development
- Assist in writing, editing, and fact-checking articles and editorial content
- Prepare background briefs and technical summaries for interviews and videos
- Support script development for video interviews and editorial features
- Design and develop content, including but not limited to webpages, newsletters, etc.
Qualifications
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Background in Journalism, Media, Communication, OR technical fields such as Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, Physics, or related disciplines
- Strong interest in renewable energy or industrial technology
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to learn new technical concepts quickly and ask the right questions
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office; Adobe Suite is a plus
- A personal computer and a good internet connection are required.
