Responsibilities

• Execute procurement strategies defined by the Commodity / Lead Buyer;
• Create and trigger purchase orders based on SAP info records;
• Monitor and follow up on purchase orders until goods receipt, including supplier dunning when necessary;
• Verify and process order confirmations (quantities and delivery dates); collaborate with the Commodity Buyer for PO adjustments when pricing or conditions are incorrect;
• Review and validate invoices, especially in case of quantity variances; escalate cost or condition discrepancies to the Commodity Buyer;
• Ensure compliance with internal requirements, maintaining On-Time Delivery (OTD) targets and optimal stock levels;
• Manage and track quality notifications (Q-notifications), coordinating internally with Quality Assurance and externally with suppliers;
• Act as the primary point of contact for Production Planning and suppliers regarding delivery and quality deviations;
• Serve as first-level contact for supplier escalations and interface with the Commodity Buyer for resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, or a related field;
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in direct materials purchasing;
• Hands-on experience with SAP (S/4HANA – MM module) or similar ERP systems;
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, supply chain flows, and supplier management;
• Fluent in English;
• Good knowledge of MS Office tools, especially Excel;
• Analytical and detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities;
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines;
• Strong communication skills for both internal stakeholders and external suppliers;
• Proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement and achieving OTD (On-Time Delivery) targets.
