Responsibilities
- Execute procurement strategies defined by the Commodity / Lead Buyer;
- Create and trigger purchase orders based on SAP info records;
- Monitor and follow up on purchase orders until goods receipt, including supplier dunning when necessary;
- Verify and process order confirmations (quantities and delivery dates); collaborate with the Commodity Buyer for PO adjustments when pricing or conditions are incorrect;
- Review and validate invoices, especially in case of quantity variances; escalate cost or condition discrepancies to the Commodity Buyer;
- Ensure compliance with internal requirements, maintaining On-Time Delivery (OTD) targets and optimal stock levels;
- Manage and track quality notifications (Q-notifications), coordinating internally with Quality Assurance and externally with suppliers;
- Act as the primary point of contact for Production Planning and suppliers regarding delivery and quality deviations;
- Serve as first-level contact for supplier escalations and interface with the Commodity Buyer for resolution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, or a related field;
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in direct materials purchasing;
- Hands-on experience with SAP (S/4HANA – MM module) or similar ERP systems;
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, supply chain flows, and supplier management;
- Fluent in English;
- Good knowledge of MS Office tools, especially Excel;
- Analytical and detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines;
- Strong communication skills for both internal stakeholders and external suppliers;
- Proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement and achieving OTD (On-Time Delivery) targets.
