RESPONSIBILITIES

• Purchase indirect materials, goods and services to ensure that the company operational needs are met, considering cost, quality and delivery targets and to ensure continuity of supply;
• Develop and implement purchasing strategy for their specific purchasing products & services in-line with Yazaki Group Purchasing and plant needs;
• Lead negotiations with the suppliers and strategic partners; preparation & presentation of the awarding decision;
• Market analysis - review and validate RFQs and Sourcing package;
• Validate the Cost savings in their aria of responsibilities;
• Build local / regional supplier panel:

     define target list of suppliers for RFQ;

      supplier relationships management;

• Contract negotiation and signing – standardize contracts for supply and services;
• Create, send and track the purchase orders to the suppliers;
• Monitor all open purchase orders and follow-up deliveries;
• Work with operations to identify areas of cost optimization, implement actions by consolidating, managing and standardizing the spend;
• Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures during supplier negotiations and contracts award process;
• Understand and follow European Purchasing roles & responsibilities and support Category buyers’ supplier strategies (preferred supplier base, reduction of suppliers, payment terms etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree (Business Administration, Engineering, Accounting, Law or a related field, is a plus).
• Previous experience in indirect material purchasing, with knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding, contract creation and cost breakdown, is appreciated.
• Fluent in English - upper intermediate level is a must
• Willing to learn and integrate within a country & regional purchasing team.
• Able to identify and add value, reduce costs and input to business improvements
• Comprehensive understanding of MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint and industry standard purchase order software platforms (SAP, Coupa, SRM)
• Experience on facility management services and related contracts management is an advantage.
