We are looking for a Specialist Freight Audit

Shared Service Finance Hornbach

The Shared Service Center in Iasi (Romania) is part of our regional logistics organization headquartered in Sursee (Switzerland). As the Specialist Freight Audit you interact with the logistics departments and freight forwarders of Hornbach Switzerland. As your role entails the interaction with various colleagues from different countries and backgrounds you should be interested to work in an international environment. We have very different tasks, but one essential objective: we want to bring our logistics organization to the next level of process excellence and efficiency.

Your assignments

• You are managing on a daily basis the transaction processing of freight invoices based on our process standards
• You are verifying invoice ownership and the correct account assignment
• You are Investigating incorrect postings and update accordingly
• You are supporting the onboarding of freight carriers to our freight audit system
• You are providing approvals and rejections of carrier invoices to ensure proper billing and timely payments
• You are communicating with transportation carriers to ensure a timely dispute handling
• You are administering monthly freight payment reports including accruals
• You are analyzing monthly freight costs, identify gaps and cost saving opportunities
• You are providing continuous improvement opportunities for both cost and service initiatives through data analysis with internal and external customer engagement
• You are developing and continuously improving SCM dashboards 

Do we fit together?

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in the field of business administration, economics, natural sciences or comparable
• You are comfortable in conducting data driven tasks
• Proficient English language skills to be able to collaborate closely with our internal stakeholders
• You have strong interest in the field of data, analytics and reporting

You can do even more?

• You have gained initial experience in transportation & warehousing
• Additional language skills are a strong advantage, particularly German
• Experience in using ERP Systems (SAP preferred) and Transport Management Systems
• Knowledge of industry standards
• First experience in creating Power BI dashboards
