Responsibilities:

• Optimal planning of plant indirect materials and services acquisitions using the optimal resources and systems 
• Contribute to the budget planning activities and implement continuously effective internal control tools to deliver the required financial results. 
• Monitor and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity to the organization 
• Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers
• Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations 
• Contract services and discounts for YRL and Country Yazaki affiliates. 
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers according to the YAZAKI’s procedures; negotiate offers, prepare comparative cost analysis & reports.
• Work closely with Category Buyers in order to identify cost savings opportunities
• Prepare and submit SAS package for approval for SM Approval 
• Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings;
• Send and track the purchase orders to the suppliers
• Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures during supplier negotiations and contracts award process. 
• Other tasks allocated by the Line manager and Co-manager in line with the job responsibilities
• Lead, recruit, train and develop the purchasing team

 Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Accounting, Law or a related field required.
• Previous experience in a strategic purchasing role: 1-3 years is a plus
• Fluent in English
• Good knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding and cost breakdown; SAP
