Title Valuation Methodologies Controller - Credit Job Reference # 132569BR Location Poland City Kraków Function Category Financial Advisors Management and Business Support Outsourcing / Offshoring Business Divisions Corporate Center Job Type Full Time Description Your role Valuation Methodologies (VM) covers all the technical aspects of valuations globally and across all asset classes. VM's main responsibilities include developing, improving and prototyping Independent Price Verification (IPV) methodologies; reviewing and approving model fair value adjustments and liquidity adjustments; and acting as the Finance authorized signatory and representative in the Valuation Model Governance process, which enables trading to take place only for pre-authorized model and product combinations, within certain boundaries of valuation risk. The Team's main responsibilities include: • Engineering of independent valuation methodologies for new and existing products focusing on model deficiencies and liquidity issues • Assessment of new model and analytics implementations • Approving Front Office marking methodologies and valuation adjustments for product model combinations, focusing on the appropriateness of market data and its use in the model calibration and valuation adjustment methodologies • Technical assistance to the IPV (independent price verification) and product control teams • Central execution of complex calibration routines that drive model deficiency valuation adjustments and model input parameter testing globally Your team To further strengthen their position in valuations, UBS has created a product aligned Valuation Methodologies team of specialists that focus on all technical aspects relating to valuations across all asset classes. The team is based in 2 locations: London and Krakow, which work with a global coverage. The current role is within the Credit Valuation Methodologies team (Krakow - Green Office based). The role covers Credit Flow and Credit Derivatives, Securitization and XVA (CVA, DVA and FVA). You have: • A good balance between the practical hands on knowledge of Quantitative models from a product valuation perspective and ability to assess & quantify the uncertainties embedded in the product valuation. • Ability to work in close & positive collaboration within VM, Finance, Risk and Front Office to address the various valuation issues. • A dynamic and detail-orientated outlook with an ability to exercise good business judgment and provide effective challenge to models and their application to specific products What we offer UBS offers talented individuals around the world a challenging, diverse and supportive working environment in which passion, commitment and hard work are valued and rewarded.
