Your day to day :

Operate, run and support best-in-class platforms and solutions while improving the cooperation between Infrastructure Operations and Local Markets Also to support the implementation of new services within our data centres, private and public cloud solutions. Agile working is expected along with full support of cross functional CoPs (Communities of Practice).

With these activities you will have a great impact on our business :

• Provide 24x7 support for Business Critical Applications and Services on a rota basis
• Good understanding of server virtualisation and cloud technologies
• Good understanding of hardware and software interfaces
• Maintain the Unix and Linux environments in datacenters across Europe and private and/or public cloud which support Vodafone Group’s key business applications.
• Provide best customer experience on service performance due to regular system reviews and pro-active performance and resilience improvements

With these skills you are a great candidate:

• Experience or knowledge about VMware products (VMware ESXi, VMware vCenter)
• Hardware Architecture
• Knowledge about programming in procedural languages and shell scripting
• Expert communication and interpersonal skills with fluent English
• Good technical understanding of deployed infrastructure, on premise, private and public could
• Understanding of SOX, ITIL and IT-Service Management
• > 2 years’ experience on server operating system enterprise and open source editions
• Experience with UNIX operating systems (Solaris, Red Hat, HP-UX or AIX)
