Overall Purpose of the Role

We are looking for a Mid/Senior Software Developer to join TRiBECA® Knowledge, a London (UK) based company delivering software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions to the pharmaceutical industry across Europe and the US.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining features across our SaaS platforms, translating business requirements into robust, secure, and scalable technical solutions. You will work closely with Business Analysts, Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, Software Testers, and fellow Software Developers to deliver high-quality software and to contribute to the ongoing evolution of our platform architecture.

The position is based with our partner DEVAPP MOBILE in Bucharest.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Software Development (60%)

• Design, develop, and maintain application features using C# / .NET (ASP.NET Core Web API), Angular, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Build responsive, accessible front-end interfaces using Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, HTML, and SCSS.
• Design and optimise relational database schemas, queries, stored procedures, and migrations in SQL Server (T-SQL, Entity Framework Core etc).
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs and integrations with third-party services.
• Contribute to the development of AI-enabled product features using Amazon Bedrock and related services.
• Deliver features that meet functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and agreed quality standards.

Technical Design & Architecture (15%)

• Contribute to the technical design of new features, evaluating options and trade-offs before implementation.
• Apply established design patterns and SOLID principles to produce maintainable, testable code.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks across the application, database, and infrastructure layers.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the platform architecture and to reducing technical debt.
• Support the deployment and operation of containerised applications on AWS, including ECS, ECR, and supporting services (S3, RDS, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager).

Collaboration & Agile Delivery (10%)

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to clarify requirements and estimate effort.
• Work closely with the UX/UI Designer to implement interfaces that match design specifications and deliver a high-quality user experience.
• Collaborate with the QA function to support testability, validate fixes, and resolve defects.
• Manage and update work items, tasks, and defects in Jira throughout the sprint lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced developers.

Code Quality & Maintenance (10%)

• Write and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, and component-level) to protect product stability across releases.
• Participate in peer code reviews, providing and acting on constructive feedback.
• Manage source code using Git and Bitbucket, following agreed branching and pull request workflows.
• Support CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines) and contribute to safe, repeatable release processes.
• Build and publish Docker images to ECR as part of the delivery pipeline.
• Investigate and resolve production issues, including root cause analysis and preventive measures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation throughout the development lifecycle.

Information Security & Quality (5%)

• Apply security-by-design and privacy-by-design principles throughout development activities.
• Contribute to quality and compliance practices aligned with ISO 27001.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET, building web applications and APIs with ASP.NET Core.
• Solid front-end experience with Angular and TypeScript.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including T-SQL and query optimisation, and of an ORM such as Entity Framework Core.
• Experience with Git and Bitbucket (or equivalent) in a team environment, including pull requests and code reviews.
• Experience working with Jira in an Agile delivery process.
• Familiarity with containerisation (Docker) and with deploying to cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS ECS and ECR.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and automated build and release pipelines.
• Experience writing automated tests and working to defined quality standards.
• Capability to integrate in an international/multi-cultural environment, with rapid self-starting capability and experience working in a team.
• Good communication skills and strong aptitude for reporting.
• Ability to adapt to fast-changing technologies used in application development.
• Good written and spoken English.

Desirable

• Exposure to generative AI services, ideally Amazon Bedrock, or to building LLM-backed product features.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK).
• Experience working on multi-tenant SaaS products.
• Exposure to regulated industries (pharmaceutical, healthcare, finance) or ISO 27001 environments.
