Main tasks:
- Coordinates all SMT processes: Printing, SPI, P&P, Reflow, Engineering related activities from equipment receiving factory phase to EOP, considering: timing plan and project phase, customer requirement and quality objectives to be in line with IATF 16949, as follows:
- Ensures adherence to customer technical requirements;
- Develops, evaluates and improves SMT manufacturing methods. Supports continuous improvement activities;
- Support with data collection for APQP (Advanced Product Quality Plan) summary and element evidence. Contributes with technical documents and information for APQP and PPAP (Product Part Approval Process);
- Analyses and plans workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow and designs, layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency;
- Elaborates work instructions for each station, process or machine;
- Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential;
- Provides technical support to the organization in areas such as corrective action, defect avoidance, problem solving;
- Responsible for providing support, when needed, for preventive and corrective maintenance and for executing these activities effectively.
- Participates to the new quotations (RFQ) and provides accurate information, complete and timely, providing modern concepts for a competitive industrialization of the new products;
- Participates proactive / constructive in FMEA, DFM, engineering changes (ECR, ECO);
- Consults and collaborates with other groups of the production engineering department for a better industrialization of the products / new processes;
- Collaborates with the desing team in development phase, from manufacturing point of view, elaborating and updating the DFM concept file;
- Evaluates and validates new processes together with central departments;
- Supports activities for a continuous growth of the manufacturing productivity in the specific activity (rebalancing / line optimization, troubleshooting, bottle neck analysis, times and methods, layout production area);
- Support for other departments in the Plant for continuous improvement activities (Kaizen, pull-system);
- Participates actively in the planning / developing of budgets for the new investment (equipment list), related to new projects;
- Participates at the establishment of escalation procedures / levels for production and maintenance in solving operational technical problems (troubleshooting, down times).
