Senior Laravel Developer

We're looking for a Senior Laravel Developer who's inventive, self-sufficient, and genuinely enjoys learning something new every day.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain applications with Laravel (PHP)
• Design and build internal Laravel-based frameworks/reusable components, applying solid software design patterns
• Design and integrate APIs (REST) with internal and external systems
• Work with Git and GitLab CI/CD pipelines for version control and automated deployments
• Containerize and deploy services using Docker
• Write and maintain automated tests as an embedded part of the development process
• Deploy and manage applications on cloud infrastructure
• Implement observability into applications (metrics, logs, traces)
• Use Redis for caching/queues where relevant
• Build software with the necessary security measures embedded by design, not bolted on
• Collaborate with the team but take full ownership of your work end-to-end — and if there's no task assigned, find one and get it done

Must have

• Senior-level experience with Laravel and modern PHP
• Experience designing/building software frameworks and applying software design patterns
• Strong API design and integration experience
• Cloud infrastructure experience (any major provider)
• Solid SQL skills (PostgreSQL preferred); SQL tuning experience highly appreciated
• Comfortable operating on Linux
• Proficiency with Git, GitLab CI/CD, and Docker
• Redis experience
• Experience with federated authentication providers (e.g. OAuth2/OIDC, SAML)
• Security-first mindset — building it into the software, not as an afterthought
• Test automation experience
• Inventive — you look for better ways to solve problems, not just the first one that works
• Self-sufficient — you pick up a task, figure out what's needed, and run with it. No task assigned? You find one.
• A genuine appetite for learning — new tools, new patterns, new challenges

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools
• React experience (big plus, not mandatory)
• Software performance tuning
• Observability experience, preferably with the Grafana stack (Grafana, Prometheus/Mimir, Loki, Tempo) and OpenTelemetry
• SAP integration experience
• Experience in the construction industry (big plus)
• Familiarity with UML and BPMN
