Position overview

We are looking for a Senior GL Accountant based in Romania to join our team and strengthen our General Ledger capacity across Germany, Belux, and France. In this highly impactful role, you will be a key driver of organizational transformation, leveraging your expertise to guide and support SAP transition over European entities. The ideal candidate brings strong ERP implementation experience - with SAP being a significant advantage - and ideally possesses a B2 or C1 level in French to seamlessly collaborate with our Francophone stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform General Ledger accounting activities.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Support ERP/SAP implementation and finance transformation projects.
• Contribute to process standardization across European entities.
• Collaborate with local finance teams and business stakeholders.
• Analyze and resolve complex accounting topics.
• Support audit activities when required.
  

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in General Ledger Accounting roles.
• Extensive knowledge of IFRS and hands-on SAP experience.
• Experience in an international environment or Shared Service Center.
• Experience supporting ERP implementations or finance transformation initiatives.
• Experience working with multiple countries/entities is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with month-end closing activities.
• Experience with process improvement, reconciliation tools, and finance transformation projects is considered a major advantage.
• English language skills (both written and spoken).
• French B2/C1 level would be a strong advantage.
• Analytical and continuous improvement mindset.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong stakeholder management.
