Senior Full-Stack Developer (Angular + Ruby on Rails)

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer to work on a product developed by a startup. You will contribute to a modern learning platform used by companies to onboard and train employees.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features using Angular and Ruby on Rails
• Build and improve REST APIs and backend services
• Work with SQL databases to ensure performance and data integrity
• Collaborate with an international product and engineering team
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions

Tech Stack

• Frontend: Angular, TypeScript
• Backend: Ruby on Rails
• Database: SQL
• Nice to have: Node.js
• Tools: Git, CI/CD, Docker (plus)

Requirements

• Strong experience with Angular
• Strong experience with Ruby on Rails
• Experience working with SQL databases
• Solid understanding of web application architecture
• Experience with REST APIs
• Good English communication skills

Nice to Have

• Node.js experience
• Experience working in distributed teams
• German language skills (a small plus)

Hiring Process

• Short introductory call with us (up to 30 minutes)
• Introductory call with CEO (30 minutes)
• Take-home challenge (max. 3 hours)
• Technical discussion (1 hour) — review of the take-home challenge with a developer, plus culture fit discussion with the Product Owner and CEO
• Final interview with the CEO (30 minutes)
