The role:

As a Senior Corporate Affairs Executive, you’ll be at the heart of ensuring compliance with Romanian and EU regulatory frameworks, helping the organization navigate a fast‑evolving landscape with clarity and confidence. Working closely with the SEE Cluster CLA team and trusted external partners, you’ll contribute to regulatory monitoring, support cross‑functional processes, and play a key part in maintaining high standards across both traditional tobacco and New Generation Products.

Principle Accountabilities:

·       Regulatory Support: Assist with regulatory activities in Romania and ensure alignment with EU and local legislation.

·       Monitoring & Analysis: Track regulatory changes in the tobacco and NGP sectors and escalate relevant updates to the SEE Cluster CLA team and external advisors.

·       Documentation & Assessments: Prepare impact assessments, internal briefings, and materials for regulatory submissions and government consultations.

·       Compliance & Awareness: Support compliance programs, coordinate audits, and share regulatory updates to strengthen internal awareness, including contributing to corporate communication and PR activities.

·       Cross‑Functional Guidance: Provide operational support to Marketing, Trade, and Sales to ensure commercial activities meet regulatory requirements.

·       External Collaboration & Stakeholder Relations: Coordinate with consultants, agencies, and law firms, and help maintain constructive relationships with authorities, industry associations, and other stakeholders.

Skills and experience required:

  • Strong competence and comfort with legal and regulatory topics.
  • Experience in regulatory affairs, corporate affairs, compliance, or similar roles within regulated industries (internships or junior roles acceptable). 
  • Basic understanding of Romanian and EU regulatory frameworks and policy processes. 
  • Ability to interpret legislation and translate it into clear internal guidance, with support from legal advisors. 
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills. 
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Proactive, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks with supervision. 
  • Fluency in English and Romanian (written and spoken).
