We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Bucharest. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a proactive approach to financial operations.

Main Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll. Ensure BS accounts reconciled monthly
• Coordinate and complete the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes.
• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision-making purposes.
• Ensure compliance with local fiscal/legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports. Advise management on needed actions.
• Develop and implement efficient and effective accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Support budget and forecasting activities and provide variances analysis.
• Lead and participate in financial audits, providing necessary documentation and responses to auditors.
• Assist with tax preparation, planning, and compliance.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely information flow and to support overall business objectives.
• Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

What makes you stand out:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
• SAP knowledge all modules or minimum GL is a must
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
